RBC SUPPORTS OPERA in 2017

The St. Andrews Arts Council has received a $5,000 donation from the RBC Foundation towards its 2017 Opera Workshop. Accepting the cheque are Jan Mulder, treasurer of the St. Andrews Arts Council and her granddaughter, from Colby Blair, Branch Manager, Royal Bank of Canada, St. Stephen. The donation is part of the RBC Foundation’s ongoing Emerging Artists Project. The funds will be used to provide scholarships and help cover travel costs for some talented young Canadian opera vocalists coming to study in Saint Andrews.

Michael Miller wins Composer's Competition
The St. Andrews Arts Council is pleased to announce the winner of its Atlantic Canada Composers Orchestral Competition, composer Dr. Michael R. Miller of Fredericton. Miller’s winning musical composition, Getting With Five, will be premiered in St. Andrews on August 6 at the St. Andrews Gala Festival Concert conducted by Maestro Lewis Dalvit, founder of the St. Andrews Arts Council.

THE SIR JAMES DUNN CENTENNIAL TRUST SUPPORTS MUSIC PROGRAMS ANNUALLY
The St. Andrews Arts Council is very fortunate to receive funding from the Sir James Dunn Centennial Trust. The Trust supports our Music in the Schools Program and because of them, our annual Gala is free to the public.

THE MCCAIN FOUNDATION SUPPORTS ATLANTIC CANADA SINGERS AND MUSICIANS ANNUALLY
The St. Andrews Arts Council is pleased to work with the McCain Foundation to help young Atlantic Canadians follow their dreams to study and perform music.

CCRTA SUPPORTS THEATRE in 2016
The St. Andrews Arts Council received a $5,000 grant from the CCRTA - Charlotte Coastal Region Tourism Association - to help establish a summer theatre festival in St. Andrews!

SCOTIABANK SUPPORTS OPERA in 2015
The St. Andrews Arts Council received a donation from Scotiabank towards its Opera Workshop. The presentation was made by Andrew Foreman, branch manager, Scotiabank, St. Andrews to Jan Mulder, board member, St. Andrews Arts Council. The bank matched all monies raised during the annual Opera Fundraiser held annually at Kingsbrae Garden.
